Outplacement Services

Providing outplacement services to separating employees is not just the responsible thing to do; outplacement also makes sound business sense. The quality of one’s experience with an outplacement provider affects how separated employees, your remaining staff, and even your community will judge your company.

For those being terminated, finding new employment and dealing with issues of self-worth and pride can be overwhelming – unless they are guided by an experienced outplacement counselor. With outplacement, they are much more likely to find a fulfilling and appropriate job, and find it faster. That kind of success reduces the length of unemployment, as well as the terminated employee’s financial difficulties and emotional stress. It also reduces the likelihood that the employee would resort to a termination-related lawsuit.

We've been working with companies, large and small, in all industries and locations, since 1992 to help employers transition their people. The majority of our individual outplacement clients are professionals, managers, and executives, and in workshops the attendees are most often non-exempt or hourly employees. In addition to providing outplacement, we can help you plan your termination process, prepare your managers for the separation meetings, and be on site during notification to quickly transition your departing employees.

Outplacement Needs Have Changed

Today's displaced professionals are likely to have a home computer with Internet access, so rather than providing office space and typists, we focus on providing what people really need – one-on-one guidance and customized workshops with an experienced outplacement consultant, who creates action plans tailored to their unique needs, and works with them to reach their goals as quickly as possible.

Our Approach to Outplacement

We recognize that someone who has been downsized isn't in the best frame of mind to attend cookie-cutter group seminars, often sitting together with people they don’t know who were downsized from other industries. Instead, we work individually alongside each person to help with their unique needs, or we deliver customized workshops just for your group.

Outplacement Packages

We provide outplacement in three formats:

  • Individual month-to-month outplacement (for professionals, managers and executives)
  • Customized workshops (for non-exempt and hourly employees)
  • Express” outplacement (for individuals – see below)

All three formats are focused on achieving results and are available at very reasonable fees.

” Outplacement is perfect for you!

We offer a very compressed, yet very comprehensive “Express” program that covers the foundation of everything you need to get your job search moving quickly toward your goal.

This one-session program includes the basics such as resume and cover letter editing, mini mock interview, and help in identifying target employers. It also shows you where you are likely to have obstacles in your job search and how to overcome them. If you are considering starting your own business or buying a franchise, we test you to determine your likelihood of success. If you don’t know what you want to do, we have exercises and discussions that will guide you to your calling.

The “Express” program enables you to move forward in your job search or career change with the conviction and comfort of knowing you are headed in the right direction and doing everything as correctly and efficiently as possible, fast-tracking you to success.
